A mean-field crossover generated by the Maxwell construction is defined as dividing interface for vapor–liquid area. new density-profile equation thus derived turns out to be highly accurate not only in reproducing simulation data but also predicting pressure differences. By using density gradient theory incorporated with equations of state, we explore area intrinsic free energy and isobaric heat capacity. It found that divides into vapor-dominated liquid-dominated regions hence natural extension Widom line supercritical region, maximum capacity a constant process. Namely, both zeroth first derivatives state variables (temperature, pressure, density) are equal at critical point all three phase planes. As result, entire space coherently divided liquid-like gas-like regions. This finding suggests two-fluid feature fluid inherited from coexistence region.
